At Picasso Painting and Drywall, the father and son are both named Adan
The Vancouver, Washington, company paints houses, refinishes cabinets and patches drywall, and its customers keep writing about the prep work and the small fixes nobody asked for.
Vancouver, WA

When Picasso Painting and Drywall finished one woman’s house and her new shop, even the gas meter had been painted. The crew did it in the house’s main dark green and picked out the posts that guard it in the trim colors, she wrote in a Google review. They had also cleaned the old siding, put on new caulk, agreed to add her shed to the job, and added trim work in the shop that was not in the quote because they thought it needed doing.
That kind of detail runs through what customers say about Picasso. The company paints houses inside and out, refinishes kitchen cabinets, repairs and textures drywall, and pressure washes and cleans gutters around Vancouver, Washington. At its center is a family. Customers describe a father and son who work the jobs together, and one reviewer named them as Adan and Adan Jr. Most reviews just say Adan, and because father and son share the name, it is not always clear which one a customer means.
The company has held a Washington contractor license since 2018, issued to Picasso Painting & Drywall LLC. Its website names Adan Sanchez as owner and founder and says the company has more than two decades of experience in the industry.
The crew works from a white van lettered with the company’s services: exterior and interior painting, pressure washing, stained and painted cabinets, door refinishing, texture repairs, sheetrock repair and gutter cleaning. It serves Vancouver and the towns around it, including Battle Ground, Camas, Ridgefield, Washougal, Hazel Dell, Hockinson and Salmon Creek, and it offers a yearly maintenance service. Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Rodda-Miller Paint are among the suppliers it lists. Punctuality is first on the company’s list of core values, and being on time comes up again and again in the reviews.
Customers write most often about the prep. One family had just put in new floors before the painters arrived to do about two-thirds of the house. Afterward, they wrote, there was not a single spot of paint on the floors and not a drip on the walls, trim, doors or cabinets. A homeowner whose roses grow close to the house wrote that the crew protected them, explained the different grades of paint and what each meant, and arrived a couple of minutes early both days. A homeowner with a two-story deck wrote that the crew painted all the rails and stairs in one day, then came back the next day to pull off the masking.
The drywall side of the name gets its share of mentions. One customer had a damaged piece of ceiling replaced. The crew textured the patch to match the rest of the ceiling and painted it so well, he wrote, that he could not tell where the patch was. While they were there, Sanchez patched and painted cracks and nail pops around the house. Another customer, who had framed in a walk-in closet and closed up a couple of windows himself, hired the company for the drywall and texturing. When he called them back about a few minor issues, they fixed them at no extra cost, he wrote.
Cabinets are a regular part of the work. One homeowner came with a specific finish in mind. After Sanchez offered other ideas, the family went with his suggestion, a two-tone treatment for the kitchen cabinets, and wrote that they love it.
Customers also describe a crew that adjusts to them. A family that had already watched Picasso paint four homes for relatives and friends hired the company for their own house. When out-of-town guests arrived in the middle of the project, Sanchez agreed to give them a day without painters, they wrote. When they left town for five days, he moved the crew inside to finish the main bedroom and bathroom before they got back.
Plenty of the work comes back around. One customer wrote in a 2024 Google review of being a happy customer for the previous seven years. Another homeowner got an estimate from Sanchez on a Tuesday, and that Saturday the crew painted all of the house’s exterior trim in a single day. The owner of an old two-story craftsman house downtown had the crew prep and paint it inside and out. Marina I. wrote that the father and son were on time and did the painting perfectly, and that they also helped her with a few small caulking projects.
Some of what customers remember was never part of the job. One homeowner wrote that Sanchez spotted a leak running from the roof into a ceiling, something she said she never would have caught on her own. Another customer hired the father and son in 2021 to paint a house. They pressure washed it, filled the cracks and painted it in two days. They also reattached a drain pipe that a windstorm had knocked loose.
